Specialist Amputee Physiotherapist
Nicola qualified from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2006, attaining a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy. Starting her career in South Wales, Nicola gained vast experience in all the core areas of Physiotherapy, however it was rehabilitation setting that she enjoyed the most. Since returning to the Northwest, she has been fortunate to gain two posts within the NHS allowing her to now specialise in amputee rehabilitation, these offer a highly varied and challenging clinic load, encompassing not only all levels of lower limb amputation but also utilising some of the latest socket styles and componentry on offer. Nicola takes a very pragmatic view to clinical problem solving and remains focused on attaining patient rehab goals.
When not at work Nicola is kept busy by her three young children. She is also an animal lover and if not walking the dogs or playing with the cats, to worsen her long suffering husbands allergies, she can be found exercising. She enjoys running, cycling, high intensity aerobics and self indulgent spa days.
